Founder – Creative Director Chatterbox Marketing
There’s something about Marysville – The role PR and place branding played in Marysville’s recovery from the devastating 2009 bushfires
In this session Meg Law, the founder of Chatterbox Marketing, will take us through her experience of working with the Marysville community to help them rebuild in the wake of the 2009 Victorian bushfires. Counting it as the most rewarding work of her career, Meg worked hand in hand with the Marysville community to dream up a range of innovative PR and brand campaigns that had their roots in what it meant to be from Marysville. Working with a limited budget and resource, these initiatives drove incredible uplifts in visitation and investment in Marysville and surrounds.
A qualified journalist and Marketing/PR consultant, a 2018 National PR Award winner in the (PRIA), Judge for the 2013/2010 Tourism Victoria Awards, winner and writer of 18 Victorian Tourism Awards and four National awards, Meg’s record speaks for itself.
A former radio news broadcaster with over 18 years’ experience in marketing, media and communications for the Tourism, Education and Lifestyle sectors, Meg now focuses on her passions of destination marketing, travel writing and tourism PR/marketing.
